I really don't care if I look stupid or people think I'm crazy. I'm doing this for me.

Things I look for ...

Park benches - great for pushups, squats

High Stairs, ledges - great for step ups, jump ups, split squats

Stairs -- great for sprints

Boulders - great for overhead press (when I was in DC. the river had some 20-30lbs rocks by it. Picking these up into an overhead press was a great work-out)

Playgrounds -- usually not many kids in the early AM, so you can usually find pull up, push up spots. Do jumping pull ups if you cannot do regular pull ups

I scope out an area and look for a little mini-circuit to do high-intensity training.

For example, while in Seattle, I did springs up 5-6 stories of stairs, followed by push ups, squats and step ups. The mix of aerobic and strength keeps your heart rate up so you burn more calories in a shorter period.

While in Ashville, NC, I found a park setting with a bench and playground. Sprint to the bench, 15 pushups, sprint to the playground 15 jumping pullups, sprint to a tree, 15 squats ... repeat 6x.

When in DC, I ran down to the white house, found some stairs on the way back and stopped and did some pushups and stepups in a park.

Mix it up. Have fun. And don't care what others think.Jeff Hhttp://www.starvingfoodie.com/noreply@blogger.com
